Customer Service Rep-Inside/Outside Sales

Synopsis: We are looking for a customer service-oriented team member with inside/outside sales experience.

The Customer Service Representative - Inside/Outside Sales position is a twofold position.

  • Mornings will be spent in the office, acting as a liaison, providing product/services information and resolving any emerging problems that our customer accounts might face. Reviewing and setting up afternoon sales calls with potential salt and water customer prospects.
  • Afternoons will be spent running sales calls and cold calling on potential salt and water customers consisting of commercial and residential.  This is not a commission position.
The strongest customer service - sales representatives are genuinely excited to help customers. They’re patient, empathetic, and passionately communicative. Problem solving comes naturally to customer care, sales specialists. They are confident at troubleshooting and investigate if they don’t have enough information to resolve customer complaints. The target is to ensure excellent service standards, respond efficiently to customer inquiries, and maintain high customer satisfaction and generating sales of salt and water to our customer base in Michigan.
Responsibilities
  • Morning responsibilities will consist of:
  • Manage and document daily incoming customer calls
  • Provide efficient communication with customers, sales, routing, and service
  • Review current customer salt and water accounts and generate sales leads and schedule lead appointments for water treatment equipment, as well as, scheduling your own afternoon face to face lead appointments for potential salt and water customers: Commercial and Residential
  • Schedule installs and service on corresponding days we are in the customer's area
  • Routing and rerouting daily delivery stops and assist with customer delivery call aheads
  • Identify and assess customers’ needs to achieve excellent customer appreciation
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication
  • Provide accurate, valid and complete information by utilizing available trained methods and tools
  • Record keeping through calls and tasks for all customer interactions, process payments, and scan/file documents into customer files.
  • Process over the counter retail sales and walk-in customer needs
  • Scheduling and rescheduling of daily product deliveries, along with service/installation work orders, within a timely manner
  • Follow communication policies, procedures and guidelines
  • Daily schedule will be: am: office / pm: meeting with potential salt and water customers
 
Skills
  • Proven customer support experience and experience as a client service representative
  • Strong phone contact handling skills and active listening on a multi-phone line system
  • Customer orientation and ability to adapt/respond to different types of customer needs and expectations
  • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and presentation skills on the phone and in person.
  • Strong ability to meet with prospective customers face to face and close a sale
  • Strong ability to build a relationship with current customers as well as prospects
  • Requiring strong multi-tasking and time management skills and the ability to prioritize projects effectively
  • Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
  • Familiarity with 10 Key adding machine for daily deposits and account balancing
  • Assist customers with over-the-counter product purchases
  • The understanding of accounts receivable and ability of receiving daily customer payments, posting/processing and preparation of bank deposits
  • 90 Keystroke Words per minute
  • Perform analysis of customer accounts past and current
  • Ability to enter daily customer calls/task notes on each customer account pertaining to your conversation with the customer.
